Students at Jefferson Middle School paid $1 to wear hats Friday with the proceeds going towards the proposed skate park at Kyte Monroe Park.
Jefferson Middle School seventh grader Logan Doherty was one of many students Friday who donated $1 for the opportunity to wear a hat during the school day.
Doherty, 13, of Roseville, said he wanted to participate in fundraiser because, "some people like to skate and have fun."
