School Brief: Lake Shore Marketing Class Honored

A marketing campaign created by students in Michelle Puma's marketing and sales class at Lake Shore High School was honored by Michigan First Credit Union.

A marketing campaign titled "You Only Live Once (YOLO)" and created by six seniors in Michelle Puma's marketing and sales class at  was honored by the Michigan First Credit Union.

The students were asked by Michigan First Credit Union to develop a marketing campaign to bring awareness to the importance of saving money, and how Michigan First can assist teens in becoming financially stable at an early age.

Marketing executives at Michigan First Credit Union awarded first place to the Lake Shore campaign for their "knowledge of marketing to identify reasons to join Michigan First and market their ideas using social media, a website, TV and radio," according to a district release.

Students Nate Snover and Kevin Stigleman created a radio commercial, Sam Mannino created a television commercial, Emily Gonzales created a web site using only HTML coding, Ally Whiteman created a Facebook page and Jake Martin created the Powerpoint.
