School Briefs: MCC Graduation Takes Place Friday
Lakeview High School hosts mom-to-mom sale June 11.

Macomb Community College Graduation
Macomb Community College will hold its 85th commencement at 7 p.m. Friday at the Macomb Sports and Expo Center in Warren. Nearly 1,550 associate degrees will be awarded. The Most Distinguished Graduate and commencement speaker is Michele Rager, 41, of Warren. She is graduating with an associate degree in business administration and a 4.0 grade point average and is currently director of business development for the Macomb County Chamber of Commerce.
University Liggett Students Rank Nationally in Spanish Exam

Several St. Clair Shores students who attend University Liggett School earned national recognition for their performance on the 2011 National Spanish Examinations. The annual exams are given to students in grades six through 12 and more than 125,000 students take the test. Robert Hammond received a Level 3 bronze medal and Kevin Allen received a Level 2 gold medal.

Lakeview High School will host a mom-to-mom sale from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday, June 11 to benefit the cheerleading program. Admission to the event is $2.
Organizers of the sale are currently seeking participants. Rental cost is $20 per table or $15 per space. To register for the sale, e-mail Lauren Lacross at lalacros@oakland.edu
