South Lake to Hold Budget Meeting May 11
South Lake Schools will host a community meeting regarding the district’s budget at 6 p.m. Wednesday, May 11 in the media center.
District officials will discuss the impact that the state budget proposals would have on South Lake.
Golf Outing to Benefit Lakeview’s Relay for Life Team
The Lakeview Huskies Relay for Life Team will host a fund-raiser golf outing Saturday, May 15. The outing will take place at Belle River Golf Course, located at 12564 Belle River Road in Memphis, MI.

Check-in will be at 9 a.m. and players will tee off at 10 a.m. The cost to participate is $100 per player and includes breakfast, lunch, dinner, 18 holes of golf and a two-hour open bar during dinner. The outing will also feature a 50-50 raffle and silent auction.
Relay for Life is the signature fund-raising event of the American Cancer Society.

Lakeview’s Bond Rating Upgraded to A+
Standard & Poor’s Ratings Services recently raised ’ credit rating from A to A+.
Standard and Poor’s considers Lakeview’s outlook stable and has therefore issued the upgrade in credit rating.
Several factors led to Lakeview’s enhanced credit rating, including sound financial management and the district’s steadily growing enrollment, which is a crucial factor in securing state funding, according to the district.
