Shores Native Named Player of the Week

Alma Scots' linebacker Anthony Sabatella has been named the MIAA Defensive Player of the Week.

Sabatella, a senior from St. Clair Shores who attended De La Salle, made 18 tackles in Alma's 17-9 loss to Illinois Wesleyan. He also had 4.5 tackles for loss, forced two fumbles, had two sacks and a quarterback hurry.

This is the first time he received the Player of the Week honor. Sabatella was also named to the d3football.com Team of the Week.
