Tigers Mascot Paws Visits Rodgers for Reading Month

Paws, the Detroit Tigers mascot, was the special guest at a reading month assembly at Rodgers Elementary School.

Elementary School had a special guest Friday who brought the story "Casey at the Bat" to life.

Paws, the Detroit Tigers mascot, visited the school as part of reading month festivities. 

The visit came during the school's weekly assembly, and surprised the nearly 525 students who were decked out in Tiger gear.

In addition to bringing to life Casey's epic at-bat, Paws interacted with students and distributed prizes to students who were able to answer questions about the story.

Paws also visited earlier this month to kick off reading month.
