Whiz kid’s key to awesomeness: “Alecia is incredibly talented. She puts forth a great deal of effort and thought into her art. She has grown so much as an artist in the past few years,” said Lakeview art teacher Katie Burkardt. "Alecia is also a perfectionist. I’ve seen her rework a piece three or four times until she is completely satisfied. She has been recognized in Scholastic Arts and the Michigan Youth Arts Festival. As a junior this year, she has already completed two dual-enrollment classes with Kendall College of Art and Design, taught at Lakeview High School. I’m looking forward to seeing Alecia build her portfolio in her senior year.”
