Whiz Kid: Evan Hazlett
The Kennedy Middle School student is heading to Germany this summer to study the language.

- Whiz Kid’s Grade: Sixth grade
- Whiz Kid’s School: Kennedy Middle School
- Whiz Kid’s Accomplishment: Evan will be studying the German language for two weeks in Germany this summer. The trip is sponsored by the Goethe Institute and will cover his tuition, lodging, meals and airfare.
- Whiz Kid’s Key to Awesomeness: Evan won the opportunity to travel to Malente, Germany, which is geographically similar to Michigan. Additionally, he will have the opportunity to travel to Hamburg. Evan had to take a test and fill out an application. All complete applications were then placed in a drawing, and Evan's was chosen.
