• Dollar General grants fund Michigan literacy programs with $280K (thetimesherald.com subscription) — Two Tawas City organizations are getting a boost from Dollar General Literacy Foundation grants, with Iosco Regional Educational Service Agency awarded $9,500 and Palomino Hope Equine Experience receiving $2,500. They’re among Michigan schools, libraries, and nonprofits sharing more than $280,000 to expand books, technology, and literacy programs that could benefit local families and adult learners.
