• Witnesses sought in fatal Bedford Twp. hit and run (monroenews.com) — A 61-year-old Temperance resident, Kevin Chesney, was killed in a July 23 hit-and-run while walking along South Telegraph Road in nearby Bedford Township, and investigators are still searching for the driver. Monroe County Sheriff’s deputies believe a pickup or commercial vehicle with passenger-side damage was involved and are urging anyone who was in the area or has information to contact their office or Crime Stoppers.
