Along the Frank & Poet Creek

Enjoying the beauty along the Frank & Poet Creek in Trenton

The Frank and Poet Creek flows from the Detroit Metropolitan Airport through several communities including the cities of Trenton and Gibraltar, emptying into the lower Detroit River. A one mile section in Trenton is particularly lovely. There's a bike path that is enjoyed by cyclists and walkers every day of the year. And there are flowers and animals for young and old to enjoy. In 2008 the Friends of the Detroit River finished a project of shoring up the eroding banks of the creek. They planted wildflowers along a 300 ft. stretch.  I have been photographing what I see as I walk the one mile stretch from West Road across the street from the Trenton Library going south to Van Horn and I would like to share it with you.   I have finished slideshows for May and June. The rest of the year is yet to come.   http://tinyurl.com/6orlfuj   http://tinyurl.com/cseg8gx
