...Medicare Part D...finding the plan that works for YOU

How to find a Medicare Part D plan....read this.

It is getting closer to the December 7th deadline for signing up for Medicare Part D prescription plans.  If you have Part D already and if you are happy with that particular plan, then do nothing.  Your plan for 2011 will "roll over" into 2012.  If you think there are better plans out there, then you will need to do your homework.  Go to www.medicare.gov and you will be able to find the plans available to you.  Just as a caution, some plans may seem good because of a low premium, but read the small print.  In some cases you will have a high deducible to meet before you get the prescription benefit, or you may be "steered" to specific pharmacies rather than having a choice.  What I look for in a Part D prescription plan only is a monthly premium that will fit your budget,  a zero deductible, and the option of going to the pharmacy of your choice.  Ultimately you,  the consumer has to make the decision on what you feel works best for you.  The obvious best source other than the medicare site is your local pharmacy for Medicare Part D information.  Hope this helps.  See ya.
