'California Dreamin': Trenton Marching Band Puts on a Show Saturday

23rd Annual Trenton High School Band Invitational
Trenton High School will host 17 area marching bands this Saturday during the 23rd Annual Trenton Band Invitational. The competition takes place at 2 p.m. at Farrer Athletic Field. Just before the last awards ceremony and under the direction of Mike Kurilko, the Trenton High School Marching Band – Downriver’s largest with 171 members – will perform their show “California Dreamin” in exhibition. The event features a concession stand, 50-50 and raffle prize drawings.    

"Jerry's Girls: A Musical Review"
Enjoy an evening of cabernet this weekend Downriver. This Broadway hit features all the best songs for women from such great musicals as "Mame," "Hello Dolly," "Milk and Honey," "Mack and Mabel," and "Le Cage Au Folles."Downriver Actors Guild will host this fundraiser on Friday and Saturday at 7 p.m. at the Out of the Box Theater, 1165 Ford Ave in Wyandotte.

Fourth Annual Downriver Cook Off
Who is Downriver's "Top Chef?" Come to Belicoso Martini Cigar Bar in Wyandotte Sunday to sample food from some of the area's most popular restaurants, including Pier 500, Magdaleno, Axe N' Ladder Deli, Smokey Rhodes BBQ and Tijuana's Mexican Kitchen.
