Cranbrook Institute's Science Night! Comes to Grosse Ile

K-2 students and their families filled the Parke Lane gym on Wednesday evening for Cranbrook Institute's "Science Night!"

Part of the Cranbrook Institute "Science on The Go" outreach Program, the evening included "hands-on" exhibitions to familiarize young students with the natural sciences.

More than a dozen exhibit tables engaged Parke Lane students in demonstrations of physics, astronomy, earth sciences and more - all in a participatory fashion suited to K-2 ages.

A second Cranbrook "Science Night" geared to Grades 3-5 will take place this evening, Thursday, October 10 at Meridian Elementary School.

“Science Night!” is one of many programs sponsored throughout the school year by the Grosse Ile PAT and supportive donors. Thanks also to students from the GI Middle School Builders Club, who staffed the tables and assisted in the demonstrations.
