Haters Can't Hate This: Taylor Swift Fan Gives Girl With Tumor Concert Tickets

Sara Simonsen, a Roseville girl with a rare brain tumor, celebrated her 12th birthday meeting the singer thanks to another fan's generosity.

A Taylor Swift fan gave an unexpected birthday present to a Roseville girl battling cancer this past weekend: tickets and backstage passes to the singer’s concert Saturday, according to a My Fox Detroit report.

Sara Simonsen suffers from a rare brain tumor, but she was able to celebrate her 12th birthday by watching Swift perform at Ford Field, the report stated. In fact, she also was able to visit her favorite pop star backstage after the concert.

“I’m freaking out. I don’t know what to do!” Sara told the TV station last week.

All of it was possible thanks to April Garmany, a fan who had won the tickets and passes through a radio contest but decided to give them to Sara and her mother instead, the report stated.

“For her to so selflessly give it up to us for (Sara), you know not many people are as giving and selfless as April,” Dawn Darling, Sara’s mother, told the TV station.

Garmany’s generous act is something the pop superstar would definitely endorse. In April, Swift called Emily Beazley, a suburban Chicago fan suffering from cancer, after the girl’s supporters made a video asking the pop star for her help. Beazley died in May after a four-year battle with the disease.
