7th Annual Troy Classic Car Show - Troy Traffic Jam, Sunday, August 3

Everything From Jaw Dropping Sports Cars to Historic Vintage Vehicles

With show stopping super sports cars including a Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren Stirling Moss, 2011 Jaguar XKR Coupe, 2011 Jaguar XKRS Track, 2014 Oreca FLM09 Prototype Challenge, the Detroit Grand Prix Show Car as well as unusual classics including a 1937 Cord 812 Supercharged Beverly, 1940 Willy’s Coupe and 1911 Thomas Flyer Touring 6-70 Flyabout, Troy Traffic Jam, the Annual Classic Car Show, returns for its 7th year. Check out the fabulous cars on Sunday, August 3, from 10 am to 3 pm at the Columbia Center, 201 W. Big Beaver in Troy.

Troy Traffic Jam is known for the variety of its field. Show goers will have the opportunity to check out classic automobiles, hot rods and muscle cars, sports cars and see the latest in the auto industry with unique race cars, as well as specialty vehicles.

More than 200 cars will be on site and judged for best in class awards as well as for best of show. This year Troy Traffic Jam has expanded its field by including some of the most jaw dropping sports and race cars from the Lingenfelter, Penske and Fischer collections. Other classics include a 1972 Ferrari Daytona Spyder, 1971 Ferrari Daytona Coupe, 1940 Ford Rat Rod Truck, 1930 Model A Ford Coupe with Rumble Seat, 1928 Ford and 1940 American LaFrance Fire Trucks, and a Belle Isle Grand Prix Race Car.

“The free event is located in the beautiful Columbia Plaza, a park like setting, with shade trees and the music of DJ Bob Steel playing great oldies. There will also be food for sale from Gateway Deli and Insalata, drinks courtesy of Tim Hortons Beverage Truck, a Wellness Tent courtesy of Henry Ford Health System and fun for the whole family on a Sunday afternoon,” said Show Organizer Cindy Stewart.

Troy Traffic Jam is a special benefit for the Troy Historic Village located at 60 W. Wattles. The Troy Historic Village includes ten historic structures in a charming two-acre complex located in the heart of Troy, Michigan. Here visitors of all ages can explore Michigan history by witnessing and sharing the lifestyles of the pioneers who established homes and farms in rural Troy Township during the 1800s. The Troy Historic Village serves the counties of Oakland, Wayne, and Macomb, providing a memorable and interactive museum experience for all visitors. Offering a wide variety of activities for children and a diverse range of lectures and events for adults, the Village aims to enhance appreciation of history while using Troy’s rich and evolving story as a backdrop.
