Beaumont Children's Gets $1M from Children's Miracle Network Hospitals

The money will be used at children's health programs at Beaumont Health locations across Metro Detroit.

TROY, MI – Beaumont Children’s hospital programs have received nearly $1 million in funding from the Children’s Miracle Network of Hospitals, Beaumont Health is announcing in events held in Royal Oak, Troy and Dearborn through Wednesday

The Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals has supported programs for children at Beaumont hospitals for nearly 30 years, but the formation of Beaumont Health extends the reach of programs across Metro Detroit.

“With the generous support of CMN Hospitals, we have been able to fund programs, expertise and equipment to provide children with the compassionate, extraordinary medical care they deserve,” Dr. Brian Berman, M.D., pediatrician-in-chief of Beaumont Children’s, said in a statement. “This latest round of funding allows us to advance medical care for children in more locations than ever before.”

Children's Miracle Network Hospitals is a national charity that works with 170 children's hospitals across the United States and Canada. Donations remain in the communities where they are given, ensuring that every dollar given goes to help local children. With the latest round of giving, CMN Hospitals becomes the first fundraising program to benefit all eight hospitals of Beaumont Health.

“Since 1988, CMN Hospitals campaigns have raised $64 million for Beaumont Children’s, becoming the largest donor in Beaumont Health’s history,” said Margaret Cooney Casey, Beaumont Health senior vice president and chief development officer.
