Burger King Employee Helps Troy Police Nab Drunken Driver: Cops
A Detroit woman was arrested after officers found her drunk behind the wheel in a Troy Burger King drive-thru, Troy Police said.

TROY, MI — A Detroit woman was arrested after officers found her drunk behind the wheel in a Troy Burger King drive-thru, Troy Police said.
Police said they got a call from a Burger King employee on Oct. 30 at 11:21 p.m. about a driver who drove on the sidewalk of Big Beaver Road, before pulling into the drive thru at the corner of Rochester Road.
Officers found the 45-year-old woman behind the wheel of a 2021 Lincoln Nautilus in the drive-thru lane and smelled intoxicants coming from the SUV, police said. She was the only person in the SUV.

While speaking with the driver, a Burger King employee told officers that the driver never placed an order for food and was were unsure why she was in the drive-thru lane, police said.
The woman told officers she had just one drink, but officers said she appeared confused about where she was and slurred her words as she spoke.

Police said the woman blew .22 percent preliminary breath test, which is a blood-alcohol level nearly three times the legal limit. She was taken to the Troy Police Lock-Up Facility where she agreed to a Chemical Breath Test.
She ended up with results of .19 percent and .20 percent, police said.
The driver was given a ticket for operating while intoxicated and now faces drunk driving charges.
