First annual All About Animals vaccine clinic to be held at the new Freedom Hill Amphitheatre in Sterling Heights on Saturday, March 23 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Vaccines will be offered for just $10 each along with heartworm tests and microchips for $20. Parasite prevention products will also be available. Both cats and dogs are welcome and there is no need to be a resident. For safety, dogs should be on a leash and cats in a carrier.
Macomb County Animal Shelter and All About Animals Rescue are working together to bring affordable lifesaving preventative care to pets. Spring signals a rise in deadly diseases like parvo, distemper and leptospirosis; all easily preventable through vaccinations. Warmer weather also means pesky parasites. But mosquitos, fleas and ticks aren’t just a nuisance; they infect pets with diseases too. Some of these are zoonotic meaning they can be transferred between animals and humans.
“It’s so important to stay up-to-date on preventative care with your pet”, said Amber Sitko, President and Founder of All About Animals Rescue. “Nothing breaks the heart more than when you see a pet suffering and know how easily it could have been avoided.”
