Keep Calm & Game On: Alex's Arcade Hosts Video Game Drive to Benefit the Children's Hospital of Michigan – Now through September 8

Who / Why: At the age of 12, Alex Craven was diagnosed with bone cancer. As a result, he had to undergo six rounds of intense chemotherapy, which lasted nearly 100 hours each. During one of his hospital stays, Alex asked his parents if his Xbox could be brought in.
Escaping to the world of video games allowed Alex to better cope with treatment. Unfortunately, very few of his roommates had the same escape, so Alex would share his games and controllers until it was time to go home.
Alex then came up with an idea, “What if we could put video games in all the rooms on the oncology floor and the infusion room too?” And that’s how Alex’s Arcade came to be.
