MOTOWN MUSEUM PARTNERS WITH BATCH BREWING CO.

For the month of July, $2 from each Feelgood pint that Batch sells will be donated to Motown Museum

Motown Museum announced today that it will partner with Detroit-based Batch Brewing Co. for the month of July as the recipient of the brewery’s Feelgood Tap concept. Robin R. Terry, Chairwoman and CEO of the Board of Trustees of Motown Museum, made the announcement.

In an effort to give back to the local community, Stephen Roginson, co-founder of Batch Brewing Co. created the Feelgood Tap, which features a unique beer offering that benefits a different nonprofit partner each month. Selected as the recipient partner for July, Batch will contribute $2 to Motown Museum for each Feelgood Tap pint sold of the aptly named “Four Hops Motown Museum IPA”, a floral, citrusy IPA complemented by delicate Belgian esters—beginning July 1.

“Stephen is a great example of the entrepreneurial spirit alive and well in Detroit today that was a cornerstone of the success of Motown Records, evidenced by Berry Gordy’s groundbreaking vision and unwavering perseverance,” said Terry. “Motown Museum is proud to partner with entrepreneurial businesses like Batch Brewing Co. that are impacting Detroit’s bright future as a result of their focus and determination. We are extremely grateful for the support this partnership will provide as we continue our mission to protect and preserve the Motown legacy.”

Roginson started as a home-brewer and turned his passion into a career when he opened the doors of Batch Brewing Co. in Corktown. The brewery is located inside the former Porter Street Station building, which was a popular hangout for Detroit Tigers during the 80s and 90s. Roginson and his team revitalized the building and opened their doors in February 2015.
