Troy School District students have the day off from school; Patch, with help from its readers, came up with ideas for entertainment.

Troy School District students have the day off of school today because it's the end of the marking period. Wondering what to do with the kids to keep them entertained? Patch has a few ideas:
1. Go bowling: Bowling is one of those sports that is fun for all ages. Instead of being on the sidelines watching your kids play a sport, you can pick up a ball and test your luck on the lanes alongside them. Troy Lanes and are two local bowling alleys to consider. Christine Murray suggests and wrote on Troy Patch's Facebook page saying, "For those that don't know what they'll do they might want to consider bowling at Classic Lanes (M59 & Crooks) and take advantage of the Kids Fun Pack deal." Classic Lanes' website says that deal is good weekdays before 4 p.m., and includes shoes, two games, a hot dog and small soda for $7.95.
2. Take a trip to the library: Not every child will be enthused with a library adventure on their day off from school. But some bookworms are probably antsy to start reading a new, good book other than the ones they are assigned at school. The is a great place to spend some time and catch up on reading.
