fans on Friday showed that Mother Nature won't rain on their parade, as hundreds lined the sidewalk along John R to attend this year's homecoming festivities.

The parade departed on its route from about 5:30 p.m. and traveled down Hammon Drive to John R before heading to the Athens football field before the kickoff of the homecoming game against West Bloomfield.

A victory against West Bloomfield (2-4) gave the Red Hawks five wins on the season, matching the team’s win total of the last two seasons combined and leaving the team one win shy of clinching its first playoff berth since 2001.
