They may have fallen short of winning the Division 1 state title – that honor belongs to Grand Rapids' Forest Hills Central this season – but the Troy High School Colts can hold their heads high after a solid performance on a difficult Saturday.

The squad finished the two-day tourney with a team score of 659 (324, 335), finishing in 14th place.

James Heichel paced the Colts with a tournament total of 159 (80,79) while Christian Harnishfeger (166), John Graham (168), Anthony D'amico (169) and Jeff Holmes (170) played well for Troy.

State champion status went to North Farmington's Max Kollin (144) who won the Finalist honors with a birdie on the first playoff hole over Davison's Kyle Kenkel (144).
