Troy, MI - Sarah L. Walburn, a Partner located in Secrest Wardle’s Grand Rapids office, will co-chair Michigan Defense Trial Counsel’s General Liability Section. Her Section co-chair is Dale A. Robinson of Rutledge, Manion, Rabaut, Terry & Thomas, PC, of Detroit.
Michigan Defense Trial Counsel (MDTC) was established in 1979 to enhance and promote the Defense Bar. MDTC exists to facilitate greater exchange of views and advance the interests of civil defense attorneys.

Sarah L. Walburn is an experienced civil litigation defense attorney with a focus on first-party and third-party no-fault law and premises liability claims. Ms. Walburn has represented many nationally-known auto insurance companies. She has also represented clients in matters involving the Federal Employers Liability Act.
Ms. Walburn is a published author in DRI Magazine, Michigan Lawyers Weekly, and the Michigan Bar Journal. Ms. Walburn is also an ongoing contributor to the ICLE Basic Practice Handbook, and has served as a presenter in an ICLE webinar, “Ins and Outs of Informal Discovery.” She recently spoke at Michigan Judicial Institute’s “Judicial Seminar – An Educational Program for Trial Court Judges,” a presentation for circuit, probate, district, and municipal court judges who conduct jury trials.

In addition to her involvement with MDTC, Sarah Walburn is also an active member of the State Bar of Michigan and the Grand Rapids Bar Association. She is a Litigation Section Committee Member with the Grand Rapids Bar Association. Ms. Walburn has been named to the list of Michigan Rising Stars in Super Lawyers magazine for 2014.
