Secrest Wardle Supports American Red Cross, East Central Bay Chapter, 18th Annual Everyday Heroes Event

Troy, MI - Secrest Wardle recently supported the American Red Cross in presenting its 18th Annual Everyday Heroes event as a “Hero Sponsor.” The event took place at the Horizons Conference Center in Saginaw, Michigan, on April 22, 2015. Secrest Wardle attorneys in attendance included, Mark Morley, Senior Partner and Co-Managing Partner, John Mitchell and Lisa Anstess, Executive Partners, and Kellie Joyce, Renee Townsend, and Sarah Walburn, Partners.

Everyday Heroes were recognized in the following categories: Fire, Workplace Safety Challenge, Adult Good Samaritan, Youth Good Samaritan, Military, and Wally Bronner Community Spirit. Secrest Wardle sponsored Everyday Heroes recognized for their life-saving actions during a fire. Joe Simmons, and Dawn and Don Smith, were honored for their quick thinking and assistance in rescuing an elderly Saginaw couple from their burning home.

The East Central Bay Chapter of the American Red Cross serves a 10-county area, including Arenac, Bay, Genesee, Gladwin, Huron, Lapeer, Midland, Saginaw, Sanilac and Tuscola counties. Individuals honored at the Everyday Heroes event are recognized as living examples of the Red Cross mission in that they have prevented or alleviated human suffering.
