PHOTOS: Athens Class of 2012 Graduates with More than Diplomas

While the Class of 2012’s graduation ceremony was centered on students, the faculty, administration, and students themselves made it clear that the students would not be walking across the stage without the help of their families and friends.

Troy Athens High School principal Lara Dixon addressed the graduates, saying, “Your parents, Class of 2012, have big hopes for you, but even more love. They have big dreams for you. ... They want more for you than they have ever dreamed of for themselves.”  

With full parking lots, a packed arena, and the crowd of people milling about after the ceremony, Dixon's was made clear.
