Troy Falls 50-24 to Pontiac in Friday's Homecoming Game
The Colts fall to 3-4 on the season as Troy's defense finds itself unable to stop Pontiac's running game.
Members of 's varsity football team took a hard loss Friday night as the Colts fell 50-24 against Pontiac for a devastating homecoming loss.
The Colts appeared unable to stop much of Pontiac's running game, as missed tackles seemed to plague Troy throughout the night and allowing Pontiac to run for 415 rushing yards. The men were also without their starting defensive captain Matt Oppenlander, who wasn't dressed for Friday's game.
Injuries also handicapped the Colts during the game. Quarterback Justin Losey, who had two touchdowns during Friday night's game, left in the third quarter with an injury. He later returned in the fourth quarter.

Troy's offensive line, which has allowed for much of the success of the Colt's offensive success, was able to help produce much of a running game Friday, as the Colts ran for 102 yards and passed for 230 yards.
Colt's quarterback Jay Darish completed a 23-yard pass to Davion Rice in the second half for a touchdown, and kicker Sean Murphy had a field goal in the first half.

The loss was a tough one for the Colts, as some of the players fought back tears on the way out of the locker room. Troy, which lost to Lake Orion last week, will finish the season on Oct. 21 against crosstown rivals .
