Troy Fire that Sent Man to Hospital May Be Arson
The homeowner was taken to Beaumont Hospital – Royal Oak for evaluation.

TROY, MI – Fire investigators are treating a Monday afternoon fire that sent a Troy man to the hospital for treatment as suspicious.
Five fire engines and at least 10 additional fire and police vehicles responded to the fire at 2147 Jeffrey Drive about 12:30 p.m. Monday, The Oakland Press reports.

The homeowner, a man in his 60s, walked out of the house and was treated at the scene, then taken to the Beaumont Hospital – Royal Oak for evaluation. A firefighter was also treated for possible smoke inhalation.
The cause of the fire hasn’t been determined, but Troy Fire Department Assistant Fire Chief Chuck Riesterer said investigators consider the origin suspicious.
