Troy High Bands' annual "Music Marathon," Saturday, May 30
Let us entertain you! The Troy High Bands' annual "Music Marathon" will be held for 12 hours on Saturday, May 30, at Troy High School.
Let us entertain you! Make plans now to attend the award-winning Troy High Bands’ annual “Music Marathon,” which will be held for 12 straight hours on Saturday, May 30, from 8 am - 8 pm at the Troy High School Auditorium, 4777 Northfield Pkwy in Troy.
Stop in anytime during that 12 hour period to catch some of Troy’s most talented musicians as they share their love of music and raiser money and awareness for their band program. “The Music Marathon is one of our most fun events of the year,” said band director Brian Nutting. “It gives the kids creative room to showcase their individual talents as well as shine in their greater ensembles.”
The Troy High Bands are comprised of 268 students grades 9 - 12, who will be performing solos as well as group pieces:

Concert Band: 8 am - 8:40 am
Jazz Ensemble: 11 am - 12 noon

Campus Band: 1 - 1:30 pm
Drum Line/Marching Band: 4:30 - 5 pm (outside)
Symphonic Band: 7 - 8 pm
Student soloists and small ensembles will perform during the remaining hours of the Music Marathon
And while the music is FREE, there are opportunities to support the bands with your generous donations as well, with cash or checks payable to the Troy High Band Boosters. You can also bring and donate your recyclable cans from 8 am - 2 pm, or grab a bite to eat at the concession stand from 10 am - 8 pm, or for the following sit down events which range from 50 cent snacks to $5 meals:
Pancake Breakfast - 9 am
Sub Sandwich lunch - 12 noon
Hamburger and Hot Dog dinner - 5 pm
Donations are tax deductible with all proceeds going directly to the Troy High Band Boosters, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Your contributions will assist with the operational and financial support of the Troy High Band, including scholarships for band camp, uniforms, instruments, sheet music, travel expenses to and from competitions/invitationals, jazz clinicians, drum line and colorguard instructors and more.
