Troy High School Among Michigan's Best: U.S. News Rankings 2016
U.S. News & World Report ranked more than 21,000 public high schools nationwide in its annual look at the nation's best high schools.

Troy High School ranked ninth in the state and 511th among the more than 21,000 public high schools in 50 states and the District of Columbia ranked by the magazine.
"Schools were awarded gold, silver or bronze medals based on their performance on state assessments, their graduation rates and how well they prepare students for college,” according to U.S. News & World Report, which looked at curriculum, test scores and student demographics.

About Troy High School, one of four high schools in the district, the magazine said:
“Students have the opportunity to take Advanced Placement coursework and exams. The AP participation rate at Troy High School is 62 percent. The student body makeup is 53 percent male and 47 percent female, and the total minority enrollment is 42 percent. :
