• 75 Comerica, Fifth Third branches closing in Michigan: See the final list (freep.com subscription) — Two Comerica Bank branches in Walled Lake, on Fourteen Mile and Pontiac Trail, are slated to close as part of 75 statewide Comerica and Fifth Third shutdowns before early September. Walled Lake customers will be shifted into a larger Fifth Third network, with officials saying more branches overall will still be available across Michigan after the merger. 
• Gramzow, Redding lead All-State athletes at track and field state finals (macombdaily.com) — Walled Lake Western’s boys track team earned 26 points to finish among the top five Division 1 squads at the state finals in Rockford, highlighting a strong showing for several Michigan programs. The meet crowned champions in multiple divisions, with standout performances in sprints, distance, throws, and jumps from schools across Macomb County and the state.
