β’ 65-year-old bicyclist killed in Wayland Township crash (fox17online.com) β A 65-year-old Wayland man was killed late Monday night when a car struck his bicycle on 129th Avenue near 10th Street in Wayland Township. Michigan State Police say alcohol and drugs are not suspected and remind drivers to give cyclists at least three feet of space and for riders to use helmets and reflective gear, especially after dark.

β’ Beach monitoring season resumes in Allegan County (wkzo.com) β If you swim at Gun Lake County Park Beach in Wayland, Allegan County health officials are now regularly testing the water for E. coli through late August. Results for that beach and others across the county will be posted online so you can quickly check safety conditions before heading out to the lake.
