⢠Michigan Records 14 Tornadoes in 2026 as Ninth Twister Confirmed (wrif.com) ā Recent National Weather Service reports confirm that Wayne County has already seen at least two tornadoes in 2026, including an EF-1 earlier this month. In total, Michigan has recorded 14 twisters so far this year, above the stateās usual pace. Residents in Wayne and nearby communities should stay weather-aware as this unusually active season continues.

⢠Nessel, Whitmer, Benson denounce DOJ demand for 2024 ballots (thealpenanews.com) ā State leaders are backing Wayne County Clerk Cathy Garrett after the U.S. Department of Justice demanded all 2024 general election ballots and related materials from the county, threatening a court order. Michiganās attorney general, governor, and secretary of state call the request politically motivated, stressing that past fraud cases were rare, already prosecuted, and unrelated to 2024.
