AT&T Boosts Mobile Internet Coverage in West Bloomfield and Bloomfiled Hills

New network technology gives customers more reliable wireless connections.

AT&T has boosted its mobile Internet coverage in Franklin to give customers stronger connections, just north of Lone Pine Road, west of Telegraph Road.

The network upgrade, called a Distributed Antenna System (DAS), consists of strategically placed antennas that spread AT&T’s wireless network coverage throughout Franklin. This will now also serve parts of West Bloomfield and Bloomfield Hills. It can provide better, more consistent wireless coverage to customers, so they don’t have to worry about their service getting stuck in a traffic jam of other people’s calls, texts and posts.

“We want our customers to have a great network experience wherever they are, no matter what they’re doing – making a call, sharing pictures on social media, downloading apps or surfing the Internet,” said Jim Murray, president, AT&T Michigan. “We’re continuing to invest in our network to help customers better enjoy their smartphone or tablet while they’re in the Franklin vicinity.”
