Beaumont Children’s Miracle Classic benefits Beaumont Children’s through Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals

Support local children

On Monday, July 31, the 28th annual Beaumont Children’s Miracle Classic will be hosted at the Detroit Golf Club. Funds raised support exceptional hospital programs, provide life-saving services, purchase vital pediatric equipment and fund patient scholarships for families unable to afford care at Beaumont Children’s, part of Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals.

Beaumont Children's Miracle Classic is one of Beaumont's longest-running golf outings. Guests will enjoy a day of golf, cocktails and a strolling dinner, as well as a short program featuring a Children's Miracle Network Miracle Family.

Brian Berman, M.D. of Birmingham, pediatrician-in-chief of Beaumont Children’s, Ken Noonan of Troy, and Sam Yamin of Bloomfield, are co-chairs of the 2017 golf outing.

“I have been a part of this event since the beginning,” said Yamin.Even after all this time, the enthusiasm and participation of the wonderful women and men who play to support the Children’s Miracle Network never ceases to amaze me. Without our sponsors, participants and volunteers, our event could never help so many children and families in our area as they battle a number of illnesses.”

Beaumont Children’s patient Sara Farhat of Dearborn is one of the children who receives therapy through the Beaumont Children’s Center for Exceptional Families, which is supported by Children’s Miracle Network funding. After catching a cold at school, Sara experienced respiratory failure and was diagnosed with an autoimmune condition. She lost function in her body from the neck down. Beaumont doctors and therapists put together a treatment plan for Sara and she is now walking, talking and going to school.
