Hayden Herrera's biography of Frida Kahlo is the starting point from which art historian Wendy Evans will discuss the life and work of Frida Kahlo, one of the most original artists ever associated with Detroit. Kahlo made quite a few waves along the way. Evan’s richly illustrated presentation should enhance the enjoyment of the DIA’ s Diego Rivera Frida Kahlo in Detroit exhibition, which provides an opportunity to see the all the works of art that Frida eate in Detroit together again.
This event will be held at the JCC’s Henry and Delia Meyers Library and Media Center and is free.
