The Michael Golds Memorial AD/HD Conference is coming to the OCC - Oakland Ridge Campus in Farmington Hills on Friday September 27.
Dr. Jonathan Stevens is one of 15 speakers who will be presenting at the conference. His topic is "Clinical Challenges of Treating Adults with AD/HD."
One reason that ADHD in adults is not adequately treated is that it may not be recognized. Proper recognition and treatment of ADHD may help patients better adhere to treatment regimens and may resolve refractory symptoms, thereby boosting therapeutic benefits and enhancing quality of life.Three behavioral objectives:
- Understand the differential diagnosis of ADHD in the adult population and ongoing treatment disparities.
- Explain how some symptoms of ADHD may be mistaken for symptoms of other disorders (i.e., bipolar depression, anxiety disorder).
- Review the variety of safe and effective treatments currently available for AD/HD.
