Drive to Beat Breast Cancer Golf & Card Tournament

On Monday, June 5, the Drive to Beat Breast Cancer Golf Outing and Card Tournament will be hosted at Bloomfield Hills Country Club and The Village Club. Funds raised at this annual event will benefit the

Walter & Marilyn Wolpin Comprehensive Breast Care Center at Beaumont Hospital, Royal Oak. The two location event offers an enjoyable day for golfers and a competitive bridge and canasta tournament for card players. The events conclude with cocktails and strolling dinner at Bloomfield Hills Country Club.

Chris Emde of Bloomfield Hills and Ryan Marsh of Bloomfield Hills are the 2017 co-chairs of the golf outing while Michelle Kleiman of Bloomfield Hills and Martha Quay of Birmingham are the co-chairs of the card tournament.

“Women's Bridge and Canasta card play day is an event that raises money to promote awareness and treatment of breast cancer, ” said Michelle Kleiman. “We are excited to have new participants join this annual event, especially with the addition of Canasta. It is a fun and easy way to support the Walter and Marilyn Wolpin Comprehensive Breast Care Program which integrates cancer prevention, early detection, rapid diagnosis, leading-edge therapies and a variety of education and community -supported programs. Proceeds raised from the card play and golf outing, fund breast cancer surgery fellowships, program enhancements and breast cancer survivorship programs at Beaumont.”
