Music @ Main Hosts Alvin Waddles

As part of the Music @ Main concert series, The Friends
of the West Bloomfield Twp Public Library will host Alvin Waddles for two
shows on Sunday, November 11, 2012. The first performance will begin at 3:00 pm
with doors opening at 2:30pm.  The second
show will begin at 5:00 pm with doors opening at 4:30 pm.  All shows will be held in the Meeting Room of the West Bloomfield Public Library, 4600 Walnut Lake Road in West Bloomfield.  The concerts are free.

Back by
popular demand. The last show by Alvin Waddles at the library was
legendary.  A standing-room-only crowd
gave him a rousing standing ovation as soon as he hit his last note. Pianist,
singer, composer, director- Alvin started his career at the age of 8 in his
hometown of Detroit. He was the musical director/pianist for shows such as The
Wiz, The Color Purple, Dreamgirls, A Chorus Line, West Side Story,
Sophisticated Ladies, and of course, Ain’t Misbehavin.  And nobody sings the music of Fats Waller
better than Alvin Waddles.
