As part of the Music @ Main concert series, The
Friends of the West Bloomfield Twp Public Library will host Billy Brandt for two
shows on Sunday, September 30, 2012. The first performance will begin at 3:00
pm with doors opening at 2:30pm. The
second show will begin at 5:00 pm with doors opening at 4:30 pm. All shows will be held in the Meeting Room of
the West Bloomfield Public Library, 4600 Walnut Lake Road in West Bloomfield. The concerts are free.
Billy Brandt, winner of two 2012 Detroit Music Awards, plays a style of
country alternative with a Texas twist.
He has toured the country with .38 Special and has spent decades in the
music business. He also runs his own
record company called Grievous Angel.
Billy says that he has a lot of friends in West Bloomfield, and is
looking forward to playing at the library once he returns from his September
European tour.
The Friends are
enthusiastic supporters of the West Bloomfield Township Public Library's
services, programs, and materials. For over 60 years, the Friends have fostered
growth of the Library with donations of more than $600,000.
