Solar Array Ribbon Cutting Ceremony

The Earth Club will be holding a Solar Array Ribbon Cutting Ceremony May 19th at 9:30 a.m. located outside near the array.  Mr. Josh Barclay, West Bloomfield High School teacher,  and 2 former WBHS students will give a short speech prior to the ribbon cutting.  75 to 100 people are expected to attend this ceremony.

The West Bloomfield Initiative for Renewable Energy at West Bloomfield High School is a project powered by West Bloomfield High School Students, Staff and the sun to generate carbon-free electricity and educate all about Renewable Energy and Efficiency. Construction began on November 23, 2010, and we started generating clean electricity on February 3, 2011!

All are welcome to attend.  Following the ceremony, the Annual Earth Fair will be held during all lunch periods in the court yard. The Earth Club Fair will be located in the courtyard beginning at 10:52 – 12:32 on May 19th.  Activities for this event include: jungle moon bounce, pitch burst, handprint tree, recycled bottle toss, fish catch, cake walk, electric bike, bake sale, name the endangered species game, petitions, and henna.
