Evening Commute Alert: Expect Flagging, Heavy Delays on Maple Road

Delays will be likely throughout the evening, but the route should be reopened to traffic Friday morning.

West Bloomfield, MI —  If Maple Road is part of your evening commute, you may want to avoid it.

Pinnacle Homes has closed the westbound lane of Maple Road just east of Haggerty Road in West Bloomfield Township for the construction of a passing lane being built in anticipation of a new subdivision that will be constructed in the area, the Road Commission for Oakland County said.    

One lane of traffic is open in the construction area.  Flaggers will directing eastbound and westbound traffic in the area throughout the evening.

Motorists can expect heavy delays throughout the evening.  The construction is expected to conclude Thursday evening and road should fully open prior to Friday morning peak traffic.
