A major snowstorm will not develop, nor will black ice be an issue, but enough snow will fall to cause headaches for travelers and potential interruptions to daily routines for residents. Motorists should prepare for roads to turn slushy and slippery, while airline passengers may be faced with delays.
Here’s the seven-day forecast from the National Weather Service:
Wednesday and Wednesday night: High near 28. Northeast wind 7 to 9 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100 percent. Total daytime snow accumulation of 1 to 3 inches possible. Snow showers likely before midnight. Cloudy, with a low around 21. North northwest wind around 6 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60 percent. New snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible.
Thursday and Thursday night: Scattered flurries after 7 a.m. Partly sunny, with a high near 30. West northwest wind 3 to 5 mph. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 22. Calm wind becoming southwest around 6 mph after midnight.
Friday and Friday night: Partly sunny, with a high near 34. Southwest wind 6 to 8 mph. Partly cloudy overnight, with a low around 25.
Saturday and Saturday night: Mostly cloudy, with a high near 36; mostly cloudy overnight, with a low around 23.
Sunday and Sunday night: Mostly cloudy, with a high near 30; mostly cloudy with a chance of snow showers overnight, with a low around 19.
Monday and Monday night: Partly sunny, with a high near 29. tMostly cloudy overnight, with a low around 16.
Tuesday: Partly sunny, with a high near 27.
