Henry Ford West Bloomfield Hospital Gets Boost in Mobile Internet Coverage

AT&T has upgraded service at the hospital to allow for faster, more reliable service.

AT&T has boosted its mobile internet coverage at Henry Ford West Bloomfield Hospital with an upgrade on the current antenna system to give customers stronger connections.

“We want our customers to have a great network experience. We’re keeping them connected wherever they are, no matter what they’re doing – making a call, posting pictures or downloading apps,” said Jim Murray, president, AT&T Michigan. “We’re continuing to invest in our network so can customers enjoy their device at Henry Ford West Bloomfield.”

The telecom added 4G LTE on a Distributed Antenna System (DAS) to upgrade the network. A DAS is made of numerous, small antennas that distribute AT&T wireless network coverage. It shortens the distance a call or text must travel. Calls, texts and posts are less likely to get stuck in a “traffic jam” of other calls, texts and posts.
