Modern neurobiology can trace the effects of our thinking on the brain and the body. Dr. Goell-Varkovitzky will discuss how positive/negative thought build our health and well-being or damage them. She will explore the question: How much control do we have on our thought life?
Bio: Elana Goell-Varkovitzky, Ph.D (Ph.D University of Michigan) has been a clinical psychologist in private practice in Franklin for the past 30 years. In addition to a general practice treating anxiety, depression, and trauma, Dr. Goell-Varkovitzky specializes in meaning-centered therapy and EMDR which facilitate the resolution of grief and trauma. Dr. Goell presents in her areas of specialty to professional and lay audiences.
