The Michael Golds Memorial AD/HD Conference is coming to the OCC - Oakland Ridge Campus in Farmington Hills on Friday September 27.

Dr. Joel Young, is one of 15 speakers addressing topics related to AD/HD.  Dr. Young's topic is "Substance Use Disorder, Depression, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS), Fibromyalgia: Common Comorbidities of AD/HD"

AD/HD often occurs together with other psychiatric and medical conditions.  This talk will focus on common AD/HD comorbidities including substance use, anxiety and chronic fatigue syndrome.  Dr. Young will discuss current findings and his latest research.

Bio: Dr.Young is the Medical Director of the Rochester Center for Behavioral Medicine outside of Detroit, and Assistant Clinical Professor of Psychiatry at the Wayne State University of Medicine.   Dr. Young is certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and holds credentials in geriatric and forensic psychiatry.  In addition, his is a diplomat of the American Board of Adolescent Psychiatry. Dr. Young has authored textbook chapters, more than 45 articles, and books:  "AD/HD Grown Up: A Guide to Adolescent and Adult ADHD" (Norton, 2007) and "Contemporary Guide to Adult AD/HD" (Handbooks in Health care, 2009
