Lakes Area Chamber Honors Walled Lake Staff, Students
The chamber also recognized the District's Foundation for Excellence for its 5th year of membership.

The Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce honored members of the Walled Lake Schools community duringΒ its Annual Membership Breakfast and Awards Ceremony at Edgewood Country Club on June 18:
- Barbara Garbutt, retired administrator,Β received the Outstanding Lifetime Achievement Award
- Auditorium managerΒ Matthew Weber was named Outstanding Citizen of the Year
- Joshua and Owen Finnerty, Sarah Banks Middle School; Alan Ginster, Walled Lake Northern High School; and Skylar Coe, Walled Lake Central High School, were recognized as Outstanding Student Volunteers
- Legacy Scholarship Funds, Inc. was recognized as an Outstanding Non-Profit
The Districtβs Foundation for Excellence was recognized for its 5th anniversary as a member of the Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce.
