Leslie Miller and Rick Behar, of Managed Estates, had been working together for 10 years running estate sales in the greater metro Detroit area when they met Deborah Slobin and Julie Sundberg, owners of Le Shoppe Too, at one of their estate sales. Le Shoppe Too is a boutique consignment shop specializing in 20th century art, furniture, and accessories. Leslie and Rick, at the time needed extra assistance on a big estate sale that the owner could not have in their home. In desperate need of an off-site location, Deborah and Julie agreed to host the sale. Knowing that in Southeastern Michigan there was a need for high end estate sales and a consignment shop to come together. The four partners created Le Shoppe Too at 3325 Orchard Lake Road, Keego Harbor, MI 48320.

Le Shoppe Too has quickly garnered international accolades as a leader in the fields of iconic designer furniture, fine art, lighting, glass, crystal, and home décor. Spectacular pieces that have sold can be found in homes and galleries all along the East and West coasts of the USA, throughout Europe and Asia, and on television shows such as Astronauts Wives Club. “Our inventory is ever changing making each visit to our store is a NEW blast from the past,” said owner Deborah Slobin.”Yet we find more and more people are also shopping on all of our online sites because you cannot make it in to the store.”
Liquidating a relative’s estate is one of the most personal ordeals, yet it is becoming increasingly common, people in the industry say. As the population ages, the estate sale business is booming. The Managed Estates staff is focused on supporting its clients in understanding the valuation of personal property, handling the estate of a loved one, moving or “empty nesters” preparing to downsize. Our knowledgeable staff brings extensive resources and years of experience in the evaluation of virtually all forms of collectibles, rare books, antique furniture, pottery, glass, household items and the fine art of assessing for purposes of valuation of unique pieces.
“Our clients sometimes feel it was bittersweet, but at least they know that the belongings have gone on to a new home rather than being on a garbage truck,” said Leslie Miller.
All the partners feel a great sense of community and therefore, proceeds from past auctions have supported local charities.
