Lolly Ella in West Bloomfield Raises Funds for Heart Health

Lolly Ella Jewelry in West Bloomfield will partner with Beaumont Hospital's Ministrelli Women’s Heart Center in February to highlight the Center's programs and raise funds for scholarships that support uninsured women.

During American Heart Month, half the cost of the shop's Crimson Love Scarf will be donated to the Center. The store will also host “Love Your Heart - Buy A Heart”, through which customers who donate $1, $5 or $10 will have their names displayed in the store for the month. 

On Feb. 1, from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m., representatives from the Ministrelli Center will be at Lolly Ella for a special reception that includes discounts and refreshments. 

According to the National Coalition of Women with Heart Disease, an estimated 42 million American women live with cardiovascular disease. More than 8 million women have a history of heart attack and/or angina, and 7.5 million women are currently living with coronary heart disease.

Heart disease is the leading cause of death of American women, killing more than a third of them. More women than men die of heart disease each year.

The Ministrelli Women's Heart Center is a state-of-the-art facility with on-site diagnostic capabilities for heart disease in women including stress tests, EKGs and echocardiograms (heart ultrasounds).
